Ice Cream Cone Origin

Ice cream cones, an edible dish that eliminates the need to constantly wash dishes. But where did this marvelous invention come from? Well, in 1904 at the World’s Fair in St. Louis, a man named Ernest Hamwi was selling zalabia, a waffle-like pastry right next to an ice cream booth. Due to the high demand, the ice cream both quickly ran out of dishes and was unable to serve any more customers. That’s when Ernest had the quick solution. Rolling one of his zalabia pastries into a cone shape, it quickly cooled and hardened. The ice cream vendor then served the ice cream in the cone which could also be eaten by the customers and the ice cream cone was born! Think you can come up with an invention yourself to improve the ice cream dish?
